Each tablet of Cavinton Forte contains 10 mg of Vinpocetine. Other ingredients are silicon-dioxide, colloidal, anhydrous, magnesium stearate; talk; starch, corn; and lactose, monohydrate. Concerning monohydrate lactose, each tablet of Cavinton Forte contains 83 mg of this milk sugar. For this reason, in case of intolerance to certain types of sugar, contact your doctor before using this medicine.
How to Take Cavinton Forte?
Always take this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are not sure, contact him. Also, if you consider this medicine has too weak or too strong effect, contact your doctor or pharmacist. It is extremely important not do anything on your own.
If your doctor does not prescribe otherwise, the usual daily dose is 1 tablet 3 times a day, as far as treatment for the above-mentioned disease is concerned. No dose adjustment is required in people with kidney or liver disease.
Take tablets after meals
If you have taken more Cavinton Forte medicine than you should contact your doctor immediately, or go to the emergency service or the nearest health institution.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose, as this creates a risk of overdose. Take your next dose at the usual time.

Uncommon side effects occur in 1 out of 100 patients taking the medicine. Those include: An increase in blood cholesterol levels, headache, dizziness, lowering of blood pressure, discomfort in the stomach, dry mouth, and nausea.
Rare side effects may affect up to 1 in 1000 patients taking the medicine: Reduction in the number of white blood cells and blood platelets, decreased appetite, anorexia, diabetes, insomnia, anxiety, fainting, taste sensation disorder, drowsiness, loss of memory (amnesia), stiffness, optical disc swelling (papilledema), hearing disorder, buzzing in the ears (tinnitus), pain behind the pectoral bone, heart rhythm disorder (acceleration or slowing down of the heart), redness, venous thrombophlebitis, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, vomiting, problems with digestion, skin redness, increased sweating, itching, hives, rash, languor, feeling of heat, changes in liver enzymes, elevation in triglycerides (fats) in the blood, and high blood pressure.
Very rare side effects, which occur in up to 1 in 10000 patients taking the medicine, include: anemia, red blood cells agglutination, hypersensitivity, euphoria, depression, trembling, cramps, mastitis redness, heart disorder, sudden changes in blood pressure values, difficulty in swallowing, mucous membrane inflammation, inflammation of the skin, chest discomfort, weight gain, an increase/ decrease in the number of white blood cells, a reduction in the number of red blood cells, etc.
Additional Information on Cavinton Forte
Keep this medicine out of reach and sight of children, as well as people addicted to stimulant drugs or alcohol, since all nootropics, including Vinpocetine, the main active ingredient of Cavinton Forte, belong to stimulant drug group, which may cause addiction if used for prolonged periods of time.
Although, time needed for addiction is longer than in case of other nootropics and stimulant drugs, nevertheless, bear in mind that no nootropic drug was tested for its effects for periods longer than 9 weeks.
